New features and updates

Introducing Playlists

All Extinguisher Standard, Plus and Pro customers can create a playlist and assign it to a unit (kit). This provides trainers with greater control and standardisation over the learning requirements and outcomes, facilitating the creation of training courses specific to their needs. Companies can create tailored playlists using Capture, providing they have an account.

Playlists

Playlists can be defined in Capture and assigned to a unit. The units selected in the playlist scenarios will display in this tab. If the unit has multiple playlists assigned to it, the user can set an active playlist in settings.

Training Set-up Optimisation

To improve user-experience, we have removed several buttons in the trainee setup phase. These items are now done prior in the FLAIM Launcher. This prevents accidental triggering to speed up training and improve the user-experience.

Learn

The 'Learn' tab will be the home for any user onboarding or learning experiences. Currently it contains the Technique learning module, which will take the user through the PASS technique.

Enhanced Privacy

To help businesses improve user privacy across their training, individual user performance can be tracked via an Employee ID. Businesses can collate training records under the same Employee ID in Capture, to track performance and compliance.

User sign-in

To sign in, select 'Sign in'.

When selecting FLAIM Training Key, a sign in screen will appear with a numeric keyboard.

When selecting 'Employee ID' a sign-in screen will appear with an alpha numeric keyboard.

When selecting 'Back, the user will return to the main lobby screen.

User sign-out

If a user is signed in, the sign in button will then display 'Sign out'.

Improved Customisation

Now you can disable categories or playlists to deliver the most relevant training experience to trainees.

Settings

On the settings main screen, there are two toggles: 'Enable Categories' and 'Enable Playlist'. Disabling these will hide the tabs in the lobby. Selecting the Settings button next to these toggles will allow the user to customise it further. When selecting 'Launcher', the user returns to the FLAIM Launcher application. When selecting 'Back', the user will return to the main lobby screen.

The 'Active Categories' screen allows the user to toggle any individual category. Disabled categories will no longer show in the lobby categories tab. When selecting 'Back', the user will return to the previous settings screen.

The 'Set Active Playlist's screen displays all playlists assigned to the unit. If you have multiple playlists, users can select which playlist is active. When selecting Back, the user returns to the previous settings screen.

Bug fixes and improvements

We have fixed several bugs to prevent users getting stuck on a black loading screen. The tracker laser has been fixed in the v918 firmware update to appear automatically in Miracast/WI-FI screens.

The NPC interaction interface has been improved where it no longer fades away based on user orientation; it is fixed to the NPC position rather than the user - making it feel more consistent.
