To connect a Trainer unit to your organisation's Capture account, you will need to ensure the iPad is connected to a specific Capture data server. You only need to make this connection once and the iPad will remember your selection. If you're unsure which data server location to select, please contact support@flaimsystems.com to confirm.
To connect to a Capture data server (or to change the selected server), follow these steps in the iPad.
Note, that this should be setup during your onboarding process. Capture data, which includes all simulation performance metrics, are stored on designated servers dependent on your organisation's data location preference. The available options are Australia, UK/EU, and UAE.
How to set the data server
- Launch the iPad app and navigate to the main instructor screen.
- Select the 'Settings' button on the toolbar.
- Select the 'Capture server' dropdown.Note: If your system displays 'Australia' in the dropdown, continue with the following steps.
- Select the data server. Either 'Australia', 'UK' or 'UAE'. If you are unsure which server to select, please contact support at support@flaimsystems.com to confirm.
- Select the option for 'Restart FLAIM System' on the left hand side. Then, to return to the main instructor screen, select the yellow 'Trainer Simulation' box in the bottom left hand corner.
- Complete an incident with the unit connected to Wi-Fi.
